Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure Migration & Infrastructure)

About the Project:
Our customer works with municipalities and service providers, helping them unlock the full potential of their data through automation and AI. The focus is on simplifying complex manual processes, reducing errors, and enabling better decision-making.
Responsibilities:
— Maintain and support Windows Server environments;
— Manage Active Directory / Entra ID (Azure AD);
— Administer networking, firewalls, VPNs, and access control;
— Ensure backup, disaster recovery, system uptime, and incident response;
— Plan and execute migration of legacy infrastructure to Microsoft Azure;
— Define migration strategies and optimize cloud costs;
— Implement Azure services (VMs, App Services, databases, storage, networking);
— Introduce and scale Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep;
— Automate infrastructure provisioning and environment setup;
— Build and extend CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket or Azure DevOps);
— Collaborate with developers and QA to improve deployment processes;
— Implement security best practices (RBAC, secrets management, network security);
— Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure tools;
— Improve system reliability and incident response processes;
Requirements:
— 5+ years of experience with Windows Server administration;
— Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure;
— Experience with cloud migration of legacy systems;
— Solid understanding of networking (VPN, DNS, firewalls);
— Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash);
— Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines;
— Strong understanding of security best practices;
— Experience with cloud cost optimization;
— Ability to own infrastructure end-to-end;
— Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders;
— Systems thinking and ability to make trade-offs;
Would be a plus:
— Experience with Docker or containerization;
— Experience with Kubernetes (AKS);
— Experience with PostgreSQL;
