VBA / Python Developer (Automation & Legacy Modernization)

The company helps clients replace inefficient legacy systems with practical, tailored tools – often built around Excel/VBA and extended with modern technologies like Python and AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities:

— Develop and maintain Excel/VBA-based tools and business applications;

— Improve and optimize existing macros and automate manual workflows;

— Use Python for automation, data processing, and integrations;

— Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;

— Troubleshoot and improve legacy systems (Excel/Access-based);

— Communicate solutions and progress with stakeholders;

— Collaborate with team members in a distributed environment;

— Use modern tools (Copilot, Claude, Visual Studio) to improve productivity;

Requirements:

— Strong hands-on experience (4+ years) with VBA and Excel automation;

— Solid understanding of Python for scripting and automation;

— Experience working with legacy systems and improving existing solutions;

— Confident use of Visual Studio;

— Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (Copilot, Claude);

— Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

— Ability to explain technical solutions clearly;

— Strong English communication skills;

Would be a plus:

— German language;

— Experience with complex business domains (finance, pharma, etc.);
