500+ in-house specialists

The client develops an AI-enabled platform that analyses live and recorded sports broadcasts, identifies the moments that matter and automatically generates highlights and tailored video clips. Its customers are sports leagues, broadcasters and media organisations that need to publish clips and highlights at scale across digital and social channels.
The platform spans automated footage analysis, highlight and clip creation for different sports and audiences, and publishing and distribution workflows, alongside tools for content operations and audience engagement.

Project Overview

The client runs a large, fast-moving product organisation and needed senior engineering capacity it could flex across two distinct areas of its platform without expanding permanent headcount. The priority was engineers who could own production-facing work end to end, inside the client’s existing teams and cadence.
Intelvision supplies that capacity through an outstaffing model, with the client keeping full ownership of product priorities and engineering direction. The work is organised into two streams: a professional video-editing toolset and billing / platform services.

Challenges

01

Senior capacity that can flex across two product areas

The client needed engineers able to contribute across both a video-editing extension stream and a billing / platform-services stream, rather than a single fixed role, with the flexibility to scale each stream up or down as priorities shifted.

02

Meeting overload draining capacity

Monday sessions ran for entire mornings without a clear agenda or defined outcomes. Daily standups included up to sixteen participants, the majority of whom had no relevant input to give or receive. One team member was losing roughly thirty percent of their available weekly hours to unproductive meetings alone. Deep work time was being systematically destroyed.

03

Production ownership from day one

The roles called for engineers who could take end-to-end responsibility for production-facing systems, work within distributed-system fundamentals, and collaborate directly with client engineers through code review and CI/CD, not just add hands.

04

Continuity through staffing change

Capacity across both streams had to hold steady through a planned transition in engineers, so delivery and client coordination continued without disruption.

Solution

Intelvision placed embedded engineers across the two workstreams, integrated into the client’s teams, processes and delivery cadence. The client retained product direction; Intelvision provided the senior capacity and the coordination layer to keep it moving.

The partnership covered:

  • Video-editing tooling: used in professional video-editing workflows, including an Adobe Premiere Pro extension for accessing and working with sports clips and highlights. It combines front-end extension development with supporting back-end services.
  • Billing & platform services: the second stream covers web and back-end services tied to billing and platform integrations..
  • A coordination layer for continuity: a dedicated Technical Project Manager owns coordination on the Intelvision side, so capacity across both streams stays steady through staffing changes and priorities are managed with the client’s engineering contacts.

How we solved the challenges

Flexible capacity across two streams

Instead of one fixed role, Intelvision supplied engineering capacity that spans both the video-editing tooling stream and the billing / platform-services stream, scalable per stream as the client’s priorities move.

Senior engineers who own production work

The engineers integrate directly into the client’s teams and take end-to-end responsibility for production-facing systems, working through the client’s own code review and CI/CD practices.

Continuity managed, not left to chance

A dedicated Technical Project Manager owns coordination, so capacity and delivery hold steady through staffing transitions and stay aligned with the client’s engineering contacts.
