A costed recommendation before you commit the budget

Deep Discovery follows the engineering diagnostic. We examine the evidence behind the diagnostic read: the delivery data, the architecture, the commercial logic. Then we produce a recommendation with scope, sequence and cost attached.

When to call us

Deep Discovery follows a diagnostic that found something worth proving.

Everyone has a theory. Nobody has the numbers to back one.

  • The constraint is named but not yet evidenced

Leadership agrees on the likely cause. Nobody has the data to commit budget to it.

  • The decision is expensive and hard to reverse

A migration, a platform bet, a reorganisation, or a vendor change where the wrong call costs a year.

  • Several credible options are on the table

Rewrite or refactor, hire or partner, build or buy. Each has an advocate and none has a number.

  • The board needs more than conviction

Approval requires cost, sequence, risk and expected value, not a recommendation in prose.

What is at risk

Without evidence, the decision gets made anyway, just less well.

  • Scope is set from assumption, and the first month of delivery discovers what discovery should have.
  • Risk surfaces late, when the cost of changing direction is highest.
  • The investment case cannot be defended, so the work is funded thinly and starved mid-flight.
  • The engineering team inherits a plan it had no part in testing.

What we take on

Intelvision owns the investigation and the recommendation, and stands behind both.

  • Access to the real evidence: delivery data, the codebase, the integrations, the commercial model.
  • Interviews across leadership, product, delivery and engineering, not only the sponsor.
  • The analysis across strategy, operations and technology, held in one frame.
  • A recommendation with scope, sequence, cost and risk attached, including the option of not proceeding.

How it runs

A paid engagement, contracted separately from the diagnostic and from any execution that follows, so the recommendation is not shaped by what we would be paid to build.

  1. Evidence

Delivery data, architecture, integrations and process. We measure where work waits, where it bounces back, and where value escapes, rather than asking people to estimate it.

  2. Constraint analysis

Strategy: what should be built and why. Operations: how ideas become delivery. Technology: what the foundation can actually carry.

  3. Options and cost

The credible routes, each with effort, risk, dependencies and expected value, sequenced so early phases de-risk later ones.

  4. Recommendation and handover

One recommended route, defended with the evidence behind it, and a scope your team or ours can execute.

What you get

What stays with you after the engagement, with or without us.

  • Evidence pack

What was measured and what it showed, so the findings can be checked rather than believed.

  • Constraint analysis

The read across strategy, operations and technology, with the real blocker isolated.

  • Costed options

Effort, risk and expected value for each credible route.

  • Sequenced recommendation

What to do first, what it costs, and what changes if it works.

  • An executable scope

Specific enough for your team to run, or for a Strike engagement to start from.
